WCW (official) World Championship Wrestling has shown that it can outdraw the WWF by bringing in the best wrestlers from around the world. They now have several Pay Per Views that out-draw the WWF's WrestleMania. WCW has taken over Monday nights with their weekly "Monday Nitro" broadcasts. The high flying Mexican and Japanese talent will keep you glued to the tube, and the "Power Players" of Sting, Giant, Flair, Luger, and DDP have the best writers around. The recent acquisition of Raven and Stevie Richards was a real coup.

nWo (official) The New World Order is the freshest angle to come out of pro-graps in the last ten years. Kevin Nash belongs behind the mic. Syxx has improved his interview skills tenfold and is finally starting to bulk up.
The "suh-weet" catch phrase was old before it started, but the attitude is still appealing.
There are talks of a live weekly nWo to air on TBS starting in late 1997 (Wednesdays or Thursdays) and the nWo "Soulded Out" PPV will apparently be an annual event.
This page is cool. I dig it the most.

WWE (official) It's nice to see that WWE has finally followed WCW onto the internet. For the last year or two, the only online presence of the Big Two was the WWF on AOL. While other indies flocked to the net, neither of the Big Two thought it would be of any help to them. Then in 1996, WCW got a web page. Then in early November 1996, the nWo got a web page. Then in late November 1996, the WWF finally got their own web page. The best wrestlers in the WWF were Shawn Michaels, Marc Mero, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and Owen Hart.
While Vince has had some really good ideas for gimmicks, for some reason it'll always be the bad ones (Doink, The Goon, The Gobbledygooker, Bastion Booger, The Red Rooster) that stand out in my mind.

ECW (official) Extreme Championship Wrestling out of Pennsylvania has the most dedicated workers in the country.
Unfortunately, their talent has been raided by the "Big Two" (WCW grabbed Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Raven, and Stevie Richards; WWF grabbed 2 Cold Scorpio, Steve Austin, Cactus Jack and others), who can afford to pay more and require less risk.

NPW (official) is one of the many indies based in Minnesota. It has some of the best local talent including Horace the Psychopath, Lenny Lane, The Kamakaze Kid, and The Hater. Rumors are that they might even book some cards closer to the Twin Cities!!

CWM (official) is the latest indie group to open up in the Twin Cities. They feature the likes of The Hater, Scotty Z, The Chi-Town Thug, James "The Bear" Grizzly, as well as a host of promising rookies. Be sure to catch the next card!

Ringside (official) is the home of World Television Wrestling. It is one of the many indies based in Minnesota, and isn't afraid to hit the towns that the other indies ignore.

IPW (official) is a federation that is just starting up. If you live in the area, check it out. In any case, support your local indie leagues. That's where tomorrow's top stars are being groomed.
